Base Training
About
The Base Training completes the endorsement of the Type Rating on the applicant’s pilot license. The aeroplane training (Base Flight) may be completed after the trainee pilot has completed the FSTD training and has successfully undertaken the Type Rating skill test.
There are 2 Base Training types :
1/One for an applicant for whom it is a first type rating course for a multi pilot aeroplane, or with less than 500 hours of multi pilot aeroplane experience on aeroplanes of similar size and performance
2/One for an applicant for whom it is an additional type rating course and with more than 500 hours of multi aeroplane experience in aeroplanes of similar size and performance ;
Last part of an EASA A320 Type Rating. According to the AIRCREW AMC 2 ORA ATO 125 multi-pilot aeroplanes, captain or first officer with:
-more than 500 hours MP(A) experience in aeroplanes of similar size and performance will follow an A320 Base Training including 4 landings of which one should be a full stop landing. In all other cases the student should complete at least 6 landings.
The Base Training is conducted on the actual aircraft with no passengers on board, consisting of six takeoffs and six landings. The Base Training is completed with one of our partner Airline.
